Did you know they make a real version of those bullet hole stickers?

When the car isn’t worth further investing, you just pocket the insurance money. Also, it possible that insurance companies can sell a vehicle like that at a dealer auction?

.45? Maybe they’re just REALLY good stickers...

Aah Detroit...

I’ve been there many a times and I usually plan my gas stop (driving up from Indiana) preciously so that I don’t end up in a shady area...

I work in Wilmington, Delaware 3-4 days per week, so, yes, I have seen those

When I was growing up, a neighbor drove a former cop van. It had a few bullet holes on the side panels and the rear doors. He didn’t bother to fix them as it’d cost more than what he paid for the van.

I dont think you make that insurance claim. Cant imagine what that would do to your rates, lol.

I assumed they were stickers at first, then saw the one under the rear door glass.

I lack any knowledge of Wilmington or even Delaware, I should fix that at some point.

So if your car was parked on the street and someone did a drive- by shooting or if your car was in the middle of a police shoot out, you wouldn’t make a claim?

Considering driver is still behind the wheel, i would say driver was not a target and probably was not in the car at the time of stickering

I mean the people you work have to have questions right?  I get the car is totally functional, but your neighbor still had to goto work.

My car? Yea I would. If it was a 2000s Fusion? Probably not. Detroit insurance is idiotic and you can tell that by the amount of cars driving around that should have filed a claim.

I’d argue judging by where the holes are, they missed!  (should go without saying, good for him)

I mean... people buy bullet hole stickers and think they’re cool, maybe this guy thinks they’re awesome to leave there?

They’ll be indeterminate rust holes by spring though.

Maybe skip Wilmington, although there is an asphalt shingle factory there that’s kind of interesting.

The President-Elect’s run -in with Corn Pop and his gang of bad boys back in 1962 tells you much of what you need to know about the city. If so meone calls you Esther Williams because you're hogging the diving board , cutting his face with a rusty straight razor is considered a proportionate response.

Well, an Esther Williams reference from the Former Veep and future 25th Amendment target sounds about right.

CornPop was, indeed, a bad dude.

Well, after Bill Wrightmouse helped him out with a lenght of deep end chain and some sound advice, he stood up to Corn Pop and impressed him so much that Corn Pop put the word out on the streets that Biden had a hood pass and shouldn't be messed with.

Say what you want about him, but his long term memory is razor sharp. He might not be able to remember what office he’s currently running for or what he had for breakfast this morning, but he can describe an event from 1960 in vivid detail.

one of the comedy sites actually tried to de-construct a Biden anecdote to figure out :

1) Which primary incidents, usually several, he was drawing main detail from... melded into a single memory or recollection
2) Which colleagues, drawing from their stories, he’d plagiarized from in constructing his new, improved version
3) Which bits were new fiction, previously unpublished.

It was pretty hilarious.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if he claims to have once worn an onion tied to his belt or grew up saying "dickety" because the Kaiser stole the word "twenty" .

Yes, but you couldn’t get white onions, because of the war, all you could get were those big yellow ones. And back in those days, a suitcase was called a Swedish lunch box, but nobody knew that but me.

he was pretty lucid for Debate III, “The Calming”.

He seems to have good days and bad days. That’s not re-assuring, but he can come across as cogent... and sometimes it’s like he’s ready to yell at you to get off his lawn before he takes you behind the gym and yells at your sneer campaign and calls CornPop to detail the Vette and ... oh, hell, what was I saying?

As long as your insurer can’t prove beyond a balance of probabilities that you were or are involved in criminal activity, it is a comprehenisive loss (bullets are, at the end of the day, falling objects).

I’ve handled driveby shooting claims on homes. Same deal.

I was skeptical for a long time, because he has always been a bit flighty and gaffe prone throughout his career even back when he was pretty young, and when you’ve got news cameras on you practically 24/7, covering every little move, they’re going to catch a slip up now and then. But, lately, I’m starting to think there may be some merit to those dementia rumors, it might not be full blown yet, but there could be something there. Not necessarily a huge problem, s ince there is a Constitutional contingency for that sort of thing if it ever comes to it.

Mrs. SBA is actually Dr. SBA and she specializes in geriatric mental health and neuro- physiology. ( I got yelled at on the FP awhile back for pointing out some flaws in Torch’s absolutely abhorrent post involving older folks and cars... but my wife is nationally-recognized in this area.)

Joe’s got clear pre-onset indications. Is he worse than Reagan was in late 1987? Don’t know.... without a work-up you don’t know how far gone he is. But, it’s not good. At least with Ronnie you knew who the players were in the West Wing and Cabinet. Here? I just worry because you don’t know who the team is, who he’ll trust if he’s got confusion and who will grab the reins of power in a transition team. Even after the last 4 years of a revolving door on the West Wing, it would sure suck if he doesn’t have it together to pick a cabinet and deal with the infighting and chaos. At least we know the current guy has no trouble firing people who have their own agenda.... Joe might not even be able to track an agenda.

it’s worrisome.

“Now and then”

Dude makes so many gaffes, it’s a challenge to find him speak coherently for more than 10 seconds at a time. Longer the sentence, less sense it makes.

I can’t believe he was the best choice the left had  to offer.

Hail claim in Colorado? Absolutely, because the entire state’s rates go up because of claims anyway, might as well get something out of it.

Weird flex, but OK.

I don’t make insurance claims for anything other than actual accidents.

idk... my cars are old and look terrible. I don’t really care what they look like... as long as they dont squeak or rattle and no CEL on, it’s good to go

Tho I’d imagine having bullet holes in the car would prompt me to hit up a local junk yard in search for new body parts. for the car
